Draw the shades of burden
Let me show you what it is I see
For months what I felt was true
Was only rocky scenery
Withdrawn oblivious
Blindly convinced it's easy
The confidence you radiate
Rivals the fear I bleed

Another wonderful world greets its twilight
And ushers a new one that I just can't ignite

Dust off my overcoat

Another wonderful curl of a smile so bright
Modestly vacates its moment in the spotlight

Your hand tightly wraps around my hand

Another wonderful girl falls from my sight
A casualty due to a pedestal built too high
